What You Must do Before Applying for Google Adsense (Page 3)

Making money from your blog is a great feeling. A great sense of achievement if you wish. 99.99% of bloggers blog because they want to monetize their blog. Before then there are few things you must do so that google can approve your Adsense account very quickly.

Most people say your site or blog must be at least 6 months old before google can approve your Adsense account but my dear that's not true. My Adsense account was approved immediately and my blog of less than 2 months old was served ads.

So what did I do differently?

1. Contents: Immediately I launched my blog, I started posting great contents. I can remember I wrote 5 articles same day. One of the requirements of Google is clean and original contents because they will check first before approving your account and serving your blog ads. At least 500 words per article should do. Have said this before that writing great content shouldn't be a big deal as you can write just about any topic that you are comfortable with as far as it has value to your readers. Make sure your blog contents match with your blog title. Here I mean your blog should stick with relevance.

2. Originality: Here Google don't want you to copy and paste other people's contents. If you must use other people's content, be sure to give them credit or edit at least 60%.

3. Quality of contents: Google will not serve ads to a blog that promote violence, hate or abuse. By this I don't mean you can't blog about incidences and violence around the world but your blog shouldn't be a tool for hate, violence and abuse.

4. No content: Google will not serve ads to a blog or site with no contents. E.g google will not serve ads to a blank page.

5. Site Behavior: Sites showing Google ads should be easy for users to navigate. Sites may not change user preferences, redirect users to unwanted websites, initiate downloads, include malware or contain pop-ups or pop-unders that interfere with site navigation.

6. Traffic Source: Google ads may not be placed on pages receiving traffic from certain sources. For example, publishers may not participate in paid-to-click programs, send unwanted emails or display ads as the result of the action of any software application. Also, publishers using online advertising must ensure that their pages comply with Google's.

7. Adult Contents: While setting up your blog if you are using a blogger, Google gives you the opportunity to let them know if you will be posting or accepting adult contents or not. This is part of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Follow this tips and get ready to setup your Google Adsense and start earning.
